I don’t know about you, but I experience stress as a feeling if fullness around my midsection. The research backs me up. According to the ADAA, Anxiety and Depression Association of America, excess cortisol, produced as a reaction to stress, causes weight gain, excess back fat and midsection thickening. Since the Covid-19 crisis broadsided us, an abundance of research articles has reinforced the fact that exercise improves our mental outook and makes us more resilient.
